Suggested Directions to Starseed

New directions: Because of storm damage from Tropical Storm Irene in 2011, Blackbrook Road, the entrance from Rt. 2 is still closed so alternative directions are provided below.  Depending on where you're coming from, you will not be able to follow the directions previously given or directions from GPS navigators. Travel time should be roughly the same, but you may want to add about 10 minutes to your travel time to be sure.

From Rt. 91 South (below Northampton, MA) Take exit 19, go straight through light onto Damon Road. Go straight through next light onto Bridge Road, crossing Routes 5&10. Enter roundabout and take the 1st exit onto RT-9. Follow Rt 9 west through Williamsburg and Goshen. Turn right onto Cape St/RT-112.  Turn left onto Spruce Corner Rd/RT-116. Then follow 116 North through Plainfield and on to Savoy.  Watch for the "ENTERING SAVOY" sign on left. Continue approximately a mile and you will see two "SHADY PINE CAMPGROUND" signs, one on each side of the road. Turn right here, onto Loop Road (unmarked). Go past campground approximately 2 miles. Take right at Chapel Road. The elementary school is immediately on your right. Continue on Chapel Road for 3 miles. Starseed will be on your right. Look for two houses in a row, numbers 662 and 672, with the Starseed sign in front.

From Rt. 2 West just after Shelburne Falls, take Rt. 112 South towards Ashfield. Turn RIGHT onto 116 North towards Plainfield (you will first pass a left exit to 116 South; go about another mile for the right-hand exit onto 116 North). Then follow 116 North through Plainfield and on to Savoy.  Watch for the "ENTERING SAVOY" sign on left. Continue approximately a mile and you will see two "SHADY PINE CAMPGROUND" signs, one on each side of the road. Turn right here, onto Loop Road (unmarked). Go past campground approximately 2 miles. Take right at Chapel Road. The elementary school is immediately on your right. Continue on Chapel Road for 3 miles. Starseed will be on your right. Look for two houses in a row, numbers 662 and 672, with the Starseed sign in front.

From Rt. 91 North, take exit 25 and continue on Rte 116 North through Conway, Ashfield and Plainfield and on to Savoy. Watch for the "ENTERING SAVOY" sign on left. Continue approximately a mile and you will see two "SHADY PINE CAMPGROUND" signs, one on each side of the road. Turn right here, onto Loop Road (unmarked). Go past campground approximately 2 miles. From points east.  Get onto Route 116 North and follow directions above. 

From Pittsfield area: Take Route 8 to Dalton. Turn left onto Route 9 East and follow into Windsor. Turn left at sign (on left) onto Route 8A to Savoy. Follow Route 8A to the end, turn right onto Route 116. Stay on Route 116 for approximately 1.5 miles; then turn left onto Loop Road. Go uphill approximately 2 miles and turn left onto Chapel Road. The elementary school is immediately on your right. Continue on Chapel Road for 3 miles. Starseed will be on your right. Look for two houses in a row, numbers 662 and 672, with the Starseed sign in front.

From Williamstown area: Get onto Main St/RT-2. Continue to follow RT-2 east.Turn left onto Holden St/RT-8. Holden St is 0.1 miles past Main St. Taylor's Fine Dining is on the corner. If you are on RT-8 and reach Lincoln St you've gone a little too far. Take the 1st left onto St Anthony's Dr/RT-8.Turn left onto Marshall St/RT-8. Continue to follow RT-8 S.Stay straight to go onto Center St/RT-116. Continue to follow RT-116. Turn left onto Loop Rd.Turn right to stay on Loop Rd.Turn slight left onto Chapel Rd. 672 CHAPEL RD is on the right.
