Starseed is an interfaith healing sanctuary, holistic retreat center, and developing intentional community dedicated to personal and planetary transformation.  Located in the hills of the northern Berkshires on 130 acres of fields, forests and wetlands, Starseed serves as a spiritual center and energy anchor for personal and planetary transformation. People come here to connect with Spirit, the Land, their inner Self and other Kindred Spirits.

The Starseed Mission

Our mission is to facilitate the process of awakening to being fully conscious human beings by offering a supportive, nurturing environment of Sanctuary and assisting people to deepen their relationship with Spirit and return to wholeness.

Our Philosophy

Starseed offers an interfaith approach to spirituality that honors the divine in all life and seeks harmony with all life.  We provide a place for people of all faiths to reconnect with God/Spirit/Source and deepen their experience of Oneness.

Our Approach

We steward the land and anchor energy here as we co-create sacred space.  We draw upon the energy of Spirit and the land to experience rejuvenation and healing on all levels.  In the heightened energy of this Sanctuary, people can more readily connect with Spirit, receive clarity about their soul purpose, and return home to themselves.

We offer a variety of holistic workshops, sacred ceremonies and healing retreats that empower people to transform themselves and the world.

History     

Starseed was founded in the fall of 1986 by the Ananda family.  The initial seed for this powerful vision was planted in 1974 in the south end of Boston at the opening of the Survival Co-Op and world Union center. After fourteen years of preparation in the city, the inner guidance came to leave the city and establish a healing center in western Massachusetts.  In July of 1986 after a long search, the Anandas were guided to an incredible piece of land in the small hill town of Savoy, located in the northern Berkshires.  This became the place of fulfilling the vision. The property consists of 130 acres and 6 buildings – a retreat house, the Ananda’s house, a barn, a carriage house, a workshop, and a cabin in the woods.  Over the years, extensive work has been done on the buildings and grounds, developing them into the present day retreat center and healing sanctuary.  Many people have joined the Anandas over the years as temporary stewards, living on the land for periods ranging from two weeks to two years.  A large part of the Starseed community has been and remains as an extended network of friends and supporters.



Healing Sanctuary

The naturally beautiful land here has been enhanced by many stone and earth-based power spots, including gardens, sacred grottos, a labyrinth, a medicine wheel, and a number of sweat lodges.  All of these create a sacred geometry unique to this land.  

Starseed’s safe, healing environment provides the perfect place for stress release, energy renewal, self-exploration and the transformation which comes through connecting with the sacred and healing energies of the land.  In the heightened energy of this sacred space, people can more readily connect with Spirit and return home to themselves.













Interfaith Approach

Starseed offers an interfaith, eclectic approach to spirituality that honors the divine in all life and seeks to be in harmony with all life.  It is a place where people of all cultures, faiths, and religions can come to reconnect with God/Spirit/Source, deepen their spiritual path and experience the place where we are One.







Holistic Retreat Center

Starseed offers programs, workshops and retreats designed to facilitate holistic transformational processes, self healing and renewal.  The intention of our holistic approach is to bring the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual bodies into alignment, thereby facilitating healing on all levels. 
We offer a special emphasis on connection with Spirit and with the energy of the land to assist in the transformation process.

Starseed is a highly beneficial place for those who are consciously opening themselves to transformation on all levels.  Starseed is a wonderful place for healers, teachers and front-line workers to come to reconnect and recharge their batteries.
